SAN JOSÉ, Calif. (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV women's soccer team (3-5-3, 1-1-1 MW) suffered its first Mountain West defeat of the season at San José State (2-6-2, 1-2-0 MW), 4-1, Saturday night at Spartan Soccer Complex.
In the first half, the Rebels got on the board first via junior captain
Macee McKenna's goal in the 15th minute. In the second half, however, momentum swung the opposite direction as the Spartans went on to score four unanswered goals across the final 31 minutes.
UP NEXT: UNLV will look to regroup Wednesday in a 7 p.m. home contest vs. Air Force at Peter Johann Memorial Field.
NOTES:
- Out of the Rebels' 11 matches during the 2026 campaign, this is just the second contest decided by more than one goal.
- McKenna's score marked her second of the season. She was assisted by junior Summer Pyles and freshman Kamri Yergensen.
- Sophomore goalkeeper Riley Hodson made a career-high nine saves against an aggressive SJSU attack that launched 13 shots on goal and 25 total shots in the match.
