LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV senior quarterback
Jackson Arnold has been named Old Trapper Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Arnold (Denton, TX) had a hand in all five Rebel touchdowns in Saturday's 39-31 win over Cal at Allegiant Stadium – throwing for a trio of scores and twice finding the end zone on the ground. He also rushed for a two-point conversion vs. the Golden Bears.
Arnold became the first UNLV quarterback to post a 100-yard rushing game since 2024 by finishing with 110 yards on 15 attempts. His running day included an early 55-yard touchdown and a late score from two yards out. Three of his 11 pass attempts went for scores as his 177 total yards through the air included a 70-yard bomb to
Kayden "Big Play" McGee, a 36-yarder to
Taz Reddicks and a 10-yarder to TE
Keyan Burnett in the fourth quarter that gave their team a 32-25 lead.
The former Oklahoma and Auburn transfer is his team's first MW honoree from the offensive side of the ball since QB
Anthony Colandrea earned it four times last fall en route to winning Conference Offensive Player of the Year honors.
