PROVO, Utah (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV's Marko Maksimovic and Arda Karakas will play for both a regional trophy and a spot in the NCAA nationals on Saturday.

The top-seeded duo advanced by winning its semifinal match during Friday's penultimate day of the 2026 ITA Mountain Region Men's Tennis Championship on the campus of BYU.

The Rebel pair eased by eighth-seeded Stewart Aronzon and Fliip Soderqvist of Boise State, 6-3, 6-2. They will now face unseeded Matthew Upton and Duncan McCall of Montana in Saturday's final, which starts at 8 a.m. PT. The winner of that match will earn a bid into the 2026 NCAA Doubles Championship set for Nov. 17-22 at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Georgia.

Maksimovic, also the top seed in the singles draw, was upset later in the day by Idaho State's Sep De Viser, 6-3, 1-6, 6-4, to end his run in the quarterfinals.
