SAN DIEGO, Calif. (UNLVRebels.com) - The UNLV Lady Rebels battled hard, but ultimately fell 80-62 against San Diego State on Wednesday evening at Viejas Arena.

UNLV (17-9, 12-4) was led by
Meadow Roland's 11th double-double of the season with 18 points and 15 rebounds. Roland also had two blocks and dished two assists on the night.
Aaliyah Alexander also had 18 points and dished two assists. Alexander shot 6-for-12 from the field, 2-for-4 from the three and was 4-for-5 from the charity stripe.

The Aztecs (21-4, 15-1) had five players in double-digits and were led by Naomi Panganiban's 20 points. Kennedy Lee and Nala Williams each had a double-double. Lee had 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Williams had 13 points and 11 rebounds, respectively.

TURNING POINT: The Lady Rebels started to close the gap and got within six 62-56 in the fourth quarter with eight minutes left to play. The Aztecs then went on a 12-0 scoring run to put them ahead by double-digits, 74-56 and remained in control for the remainder of the game.

STAT OF THE GAME: UNLV and SDSU exchanged the lead eight times and were tied six times.

OTHER NOTES:
- Shelbee Brown was the second-leading rebounder on the night with 10 boards.
- Trystan James brought down six boards, which of her six were five huge offensive boards.
- Roland has collected double-figures in rebounds for the last three straight games.
- UNLV's bench scored 13 points compared to SDSU's bench, which had four points.
- SDSU out-rebounded UNLV 46-40.
- The Aztecs won the paint battle 34-32.
