LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - The No. 2 seeded UNLV Lady Rebels were unable to hold on and fell 66-59 against No. 3 seeded Colorado State in the Mountain West Semifinals on Monday evening at Thomas & Mack Center.

The Scarlet & Gray (21-11) were led by
Aaliyah Alexander's season-high 22 points and
Mariah Elohim's 11 points.
Shelbee Brown led the squad in rebounds with 12, while
Meadow Roland brought down 10, respectively.

The Rams (26-7) had two players in double-digits and were led by Brooke Carlson's 19 points. Marta Leimane had 16 points on the night. Kloe Forebe was the leading rebounder with 11.

TURNING POINT: After being tied 28-28 at the break, the Lady Rebels and Rams went back-and-forth in the third quarter before CSU scored four points to take a 41-38 lead going into the fourth quarter. The Rams opened the fourth with back-to-back threes to go up nine, 47-38. UNLV started to climb back with under two minutes to play to get within four, 59-55, after a 7-0 run. However, CSU remained in control to hold onto the victory.

OTHER NOTES:
- The Lady Rebels out-rebounded the Rams 40-36.
- UNLV had 15 assists and were led by Shelbee Brown, Meadow Roland and Aaliyah Alexander each dishing three.
- Alexander was a perfect 8-for-8 at the charity stripe and shot 50% (4 of 8) from the three-point line.
- There were five lead changes and four times the squads were tied.
- CSU won the paint battle 28-10.
- UNLV forced 10 CSU turnovers and scored 16 points off them.
