Pair Of Women's Tennis Players Named Academic All-District

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – Two UNLV players were named to the 2026 Academic All-District® Women's Tennis Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, the organization announced Tuesday.

Junior Hudson Hawkins (Las Vegas) and sophomore Sofiia Sokolvak (Kyiv, Ukraine) were both honored after serving as starters in the Rebel lineup this season.

Hawkins, a graduate of Silverado High School who transferred to her hometown university after two seasons at Montana State, held a 3.92 grade point average with a major in finance. Sokolvak boasted a 3.55 GPA in hospitality management.

Honorees must have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA while being a starter or significant contributor on the courts. The program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's tennis honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot.
