Make It Two For Mircheva As Rebel Adds MW Singles Title To Weekend Haul

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV's Nikol Mircheva won the singles title on Sunday to wrap up the 2026 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Fall Women's Tennis Championships presented by Palms Casino Resort at the Darling Tennis Center.

A senior out of Frankfurt, Germany, the third-seeded Mircheva needed just 90 minutes to down New Mexico's unseeded Yu Yan Tsai, 6-3, 6-3, to win her program's first MW singles championship just a day after teaming with Hudson Hawkins to earn the doubles title. Mircheva went 5-0 in singles and 4-0 in doubles during the event across town from campus.

With the victory, Mircheva earned a bid into the ITA Conference Masters, which is a feed-in event for the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships next month.

"It was a great week for our program," said UNLV head coach Tetiana Luzhanska. "I'm really proud of the way our players stepped up in big moments and really competed hard against tough opponents. They showed a lot of determination and are seeing their hard work paying off."
