LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV football placed two players on the 2027 Shriners Children's East-West Bowl 1000 watch list, which was released by college football's oldest postseason all-star event.
 
The list consists of the best 1,000 players throughout all of college football who are currently all-star game eligible for the 2027 East-West Bowl.
 
Fourth-year star running back Jai'Den "Jet" Thomas was joined on the list along with new quarterback Jackson Arnold, who transferred in for his senior campaign from Auburn.
 
Approximately 1,000 all-star-game-eligible players each year are selected in the NFL Draft, sign as undrafted free agents or participate in rookie minicamps. The East-West Bowl 1000 provides an early look at the event's scouting process while identifying prospects who could compete in the 2027 Shriners Children's East-West Bowl.
 
The 102nd Shriners Children's East-West Bowl will be played Feb. 4, 2027, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Participants will be coached by NFL coaches and receive access to NFL-level facilities, resources and development opportunities while showcasing their abilities before representatives from all 32 NFL teams.
 
Under the direction of second-year head coach Dan Mullen, the Rebels will kick off their 59th season of football August 29 by hosting Memphis in a highly anticipated Week Zero national matchup on FOX TV.
