LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) — UNLV men's soccer will face San José State in its Mountain West home opener at 7 p.m. PT on Wednesday at Peter Johann Memorial Field.
The Rebels (4-3-2, 0-1 MW) will battle the Spartans in search of their first MW victory while aiming to protect their unbeaten 2-0-1 record at home. SJSU (3-4-2, 0-0-1), which earned a draw in its MW opener vs. UC Davis, travels for its first league road match this year.
PROMOTION: As part of the night's Hispanic Heritage Month celebration, free Viva Los Rebels ceramic mugs will be given to fans at the marketing table near the entrance while supplies last. Along with that, the UNLV men's soccer players will toss mini UNLV soccer balls to fans in the stands prior to kickoff.

NOTES:
- The Rebels have been ranked in the United Soccer Coaches Far West Region Poll all six times on the year, reaching as high as No. 3 in the region (Sept. 15). In the latest rankings, they sit at No. 10.
- On the defensive side, UNLV's backline and goalkeeping units have played themselves into the top-30 nationally in three categories. Among the rankings, the Scarlet & Gray stands at 15th in save percentage (.833), as well as 30th in the country in both goals against average (.889) and saves per game (4.44).
- Individually, senior goalkeeper Hugo Lemos ranks 29th in the nation in save percentage (.818) and total saves (36).
- After scoring in the Mountain West opener at Grand Canyon, UNLV has now scored goals in five consecutive matches.
