NORTHRIDGE, Calif. (UNLVRebels.com) – The UNLV women's soccer team (1-4-2) played CSUN (1-4-2) to a 2-2 draw in its final non-conference road match Sunday night at Matador Soccer Field.
On the Rebel scoreboard, fifth-year forward
Kaitlin Taylor hit a long shot from outside the right of the box in the 60th minute and then assisted on freshman
Tatum Jackson's 73rd-minute tap-in goal. The Matadors, meanwhile, went on to score in the 61st minute after Taylor's score and found the equalizer in response to Jackson's score.
Taylor finished with three points in a game for the second time this season behind her goal and assist. Jackson's score marked her first career collegiate goal.
STAT OF THE GAME: With 12 shots in the contest, the Rebels registered double-digit shot attempts for the second straight match and the fourth time overall this season. After finishing with only four shots in the first half, the Scarlet & Gray doubled that count with eight additional targets in the second half and ended the match with a 4-3 shot-on-goal advantage over the Matadors.
UP NEXT: UNLV will head into a bye week as it gets ready for its non-conference finale at home vs. Pacific on Thursday, Sept. 17.
NOTES:
- The match also ended a four-match road swing that saw the Rebels earn two draws, including a 3-3 draw at Idaho State paired with tonight's result.
- UNLV kept its streak of six or more shots in a match alive, extending the mark to seven consecutive games on the year.
- Through seven contests, Taylor stands as the Rebel leader with 10 points, four goals and two assists during the 2026 campaign.
- Freshman goalkeeper Brooke Kramer made her first career start in a Rebel kit.
