2009-10 Rebel Girls Tryouts Information Flyer

Dates & Times:

• July 7 10 am-12 pm

• McDermott Complex (MPE)

• Triple pirouette
• Fouettes
• Strong background in Hip-hop, Jazz, and Pom Technique

• Maintain a 2.0 GPA
• Must be enrolled full time at UNLV (12 credits per semester)
• Eligibility is limited to 4 years
• All incoming freshman must attend 8 hours of study hall per week and the UNLV Champs program.

• Tryouts are closed to the general public
• The level of competition at the tryout is high, especially for women. It is very important that you work out on a regular basis and are physically fit.

• Half top
• Black bottoms; jazz pants, capris, shorts, etc.
• Jazz shoes and/or athletic sneakers
• Hair down
• Performance make-up

• 2 TYPED letters of recommendation from previous coaches, dance instructors, etc. Must include a contact phone number and name.

• Tryout Registration Form
• $30 tryout fee in money order, cash, or check made out to UNLV Board of Regents if paid the day of tryouts
• $25 tryout fee in money order, cash, or check made out to UNLV Board of Regents if sent in advance with application to:

• Report back date July 31st
• Members will be competing over winter break at the UDA National Collegiate Competition and will only be given 5-7 days off from the winter holiday break.
• Summer events will be required for all in town team members.
• New and returning members will be expected to pay a fee for uniforms, camp fees, and travel. Fee amount and additional information will be provided at tryouts.
