Wes Hunt enters his first season as the Volunteer Assistant Coach and his fourth with the program. Hunt served as the student manager with the UNLV baseball team for the past three seasons. He serves as the camp director for the Rebels and also assists with the outfielders.

Hunt began his collegiate baseball career at the College of Southern Nevada where he played for two seasons (2009-10) under current UNLV head coach Tim Chambers. Hunt helped the Coyotes reach the Junior College World Series during his final year with the program.

After spending two years at CSN, Hunt transferred to Chipola Junior College in Florida. In 2011 he made 11 starts and played in 38 games and helped the Indians earn a Florida State championship and a JUCO World Series appearance. He earned the rare distinction of making the JUCO World Series two consecutive years with two different teams.

Hunt, a native of El Paso, Texas, graduated from Shadow Ridge High School in Las Vegas in 2008. He began studying communications at UNLV during the fall semester of 2011 and graduated in the summer of 2014.
