Tahj Capehart

Tahj Capehart joined UNLV in 2022 as a graduate assistant coach for defense. He moved to Las Vegas from fellow-Mountain West program San Diego State, where he spent the previous year as a recruiting coordinator for the Aztecs.

Capehart came west after earning his bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Maryland. He was a four-year player for the Terrapins of the Big Ten Conference, lining up at wide receiver, defensive back and on special teams from 2017-20.

A highly recruited receiver out of Bishop Sullivan Catholic School in Virginia Beach, Virginia, he moved to defense in 2019 and played in 11 games that season for Maryland.
