Biography

UNLV: A talented, physical student-athlete who came to UNLV with both athletic and academic accolades … Twice nominated for the Wuerffel Trophy and AFCA Good Works Team for his work off the field … Listed No. 1 at one wide receiver spot heading into the fall … One of two receivers who signed with the Rebels in 2015 and followed in the footsteps of another Houston area receiver product, Devante Davis (2011-14) … A three-time Academic All-Mountain West honoree.

2018: Missed the first game after a preseason injury but played in 11 contests, starting nine … Finished third on team with 24 receptions for 355 yards … Also ranked second on squad with five receiving touchdowns … Turned in his second 100-yard receiving day as a Rebel with exactly 100 yards on four catches in a win at San Diego State that Included a career-long 77-yard catch from Max Gilliam … The best three-game stretch of his career came at midseason as he collected a total of 13 catches for 165 yards and four scores vs. UNM, USU and AFA.

2017: Played in all 12 games, including starting three … Ranked third on the team with 30 receptions for 366 yards … Also rushed the ball three times for 30 yards … After a slow start to the season after coming off an injury, Woods caught at least four passes in five of the last six games for a total of 24 grabs in the second half of the year … Posted his first 100-yard game in a win at New Mexico with 114 yards on four receptions … Those numbers included a 50-yard catch and run with defenders draped over him that set up Armani Rogers’ game-winning TD pass with under a minute remaining.

2016: Earned his first letter as a Rebel by starting the first five games … Suffered a season-ending injury vs. Fresno State on Oct. 1 but still ranked fourth on the team with 13 receptions and third with 189 yards in debut season … Scored his first touchdown as a Rebel on a 13-yard pass from Johnny Stanton at Central Michigan on Sept. 17.

2015: Redshirted season.

HIGH SCHOOL: A two-year letterwinner at Elkins HS under coach Dennis Brantley … Lined up at wide receiver but also performed the team’s kicking and punting duties … Earned first team all-district honors as a wide receiver … Helped the Knights to a 9-2 record as a senior … Caught 54 passes for 689 yards and five touchdowns … Went 4-for-5 on field goals and connected on 26-of-29 PATs in 2014.
