HIGH SCHOOL: A December 2018 graduate of Saguaro HS in Scottsdale, AZ … A four-year letterwinner under coach Jason Mohns … Helped the Sabercats go 12-2 as junior in 2017 and 13-1 as a senior last fall, capturing league championships both years … Finished prep career with 107 total tackles, 32.5 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, two interceptions and one forced fumble … Earned an all-region nod during career … Also lettered in track one season, competing in the 100 meter, 200 meter, 4x100-meter relay and long jump events.

Father, Brock, played linebacker at UTEP … Mother, Erika, played tennis at South Carolina State … Uncle Isaac Griffin played defensive end at Michigan State and went on to play for the San Francisco 49ers … Uncle Cornell Ballard Jr. played tennis at Eastern Michigan … Uncle Darius Ballard played tennis at Bethune-Cookman in Daytona Beach, FL … Majoring in hospitality management.
