David Wedley is the Director of Student-Athlete Academic Services and the Academic Eligibility Specialist for Football. Since joining SAAS in 2011, David also worked with seven other Rebel sports but has helped the UNLV football team reach multiple milestones. Under his direction, the program has set records for both single-semester and cumulative grade point average, academic all-conference honorees, conference scholar-athletes and produced its first-ever CoSIDA Academic All-American in 2021. The Michigan native earned his bachelor’s degree from Grand Valley State University before moving to Las Vegas and graduating from UNLV with a master’s in sport and leisure studies management in 2011. He married his wife, Stephanie, in 2013.
