Sara Seronko joined the UNLV men’s basketball staff in 2017 and is in her second year as the program’s executive assistant.
She is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the men’s basketball office as well as assisting with its operations, special events, recruiting, team meals and team travel budgets.
Prior to moving to Las Vegas, Seronko worked for Verizon Cellular Sales in Louisville, Ky., for a year.
From 2011-14, she was a school teacher at Francis Reh Academy in Saginaw, Mich. She also served as a substitute teacher in Michigan as well as Louisville. In all, she has eight years of total teaching experience.
Seronko coached softball for John Glenn High School in Bay City, Mich., from 2009-11, and also has coaching experience in volleyball, basketball and baseball.
A native of Gladstone in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Seronko earned both of her degrees from Saginaw Valley State University - a bachelor’s degree in health, physical education, and recreation in 2008; and a master’s degree in educational leadership in 2014.
She was also the shortstop for the SVSU Cardinal’s softball team from 2003-06.
She married Elizabeth Seronko in 2016.
