Tanner Bronson is in his first year as program assistant with the UNLV men's basketball program.
Bronson came to Las Vegas from Saint Louis where he was on the Billiken's men's basketball staff for the past five seasons, a stretch that coincided with the best run in their history.
Bronson, one of the bright young coaching stars in the country, was promoted to assistant coach in July 2012 after serving one year as Rick Majerus' senior graduate manager in 2011-12.
During his time at SLU, the Billikens qualified for the NCAA Tournament in 2012, 2013 and 2014. In 2012-13, SLU captured the A-10 regular-season and tournament championships. The 2014-15 season saw Saint Louis earn the A-10 regular-season title, win a school-record 19 games in a row and advance to another NCAA Tournament.
Bronson had his first foray in the coaching ranks as an assistant coach with the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the NBA D-League. There, he coached NBA call-ups Reggie Williams, Greg Stiemsma and Alexander Johnson.
A 2008 graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Bronson played four years of college basketball for the Badgers under head coach Bo Ryan. Starting as a team manager in 2003-04, he was added to the roster as a walk-on in 2004-05. Bronson eventually was offered a scholarship, and the Kohl Center fan-favorite appeared in 29 games during his Wisconsin career.
Bronson is married to the former Jennifer Rundquist.
