University of Nevada Las Vegas

Trevor Smith is in his second season as a graduate manager with the UNLV men’s basketball program. 

In this role, he assists with day-to-day program operations, player development, scouting projects, video breakdown and leadership of the student managers. 

He came to Las Vegas after spending the previous four seasons as a student manager for the University of Iowa men’s basketball team.

During his time in Iowa City, the Hawkeyes played in the postseason three times, twice advancing to the NCAA Tournament's round of 32. The 2018-19 team's 23 victories marked the most for the program in 13 years.

Smith attended Spirit Lake High School in Iowa where he was a two-sport varsity captain in basketball and football.

He earned his bachelor's degree from Iowa in sports studies and is currently working on his graduate degree in higher education at UNLV.

He is married to Krista Anne Smith. The couple recently celebrated their one-year anniversary.
