Attended Monmouth Academy in Howell, N.J., in 2007-08 ... averaged 24.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists ... a 2007 graduate of Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Va. ... in 2006-07 as a senior he averaged 24.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 7.0 blocks per game ... as a junior at Oak Hill, he averaged 21.0 points, 11.0 rebounds and 4.0 blocks ... as a senior at Oak Hill, the Warriors turned in a 31-2 record and were 28-3 his junior season ... coached by Scott Hoagland at Oak Hill, where he lettered two seasons ... was first team all-prep at Monmouth.
