Biography

Jalen Cunningham is a 6-foot-2-inch, 185-pound guard from Las Vegas who is originally from Fullerton, California. He transferred to UNLV from Cabrillo College prior to the 2025-26 season.

He attended Football High School in Henderson, Nevada, where he averaged 17 points and five rebounds per game as a junior, and graduated from Coronado High School in Henderson in 2021, but his senior season was canceled because of COVID.

While at Cabrillo, his team had its best record in school history at 25-6 and made it to the state playoffs for the first time, advancing to the Elite Eight. He averaged 15 points and four rebounds per game, while making 89% of his free throws. He ranked fifth in the state in 3-pointers made on 45% shooting (91-201).

Cunningham was also named First Team All-Freshman and Second Team All-Conference. He ranked 25th in the state in steals.
