Christin Hinton

Christin Hinton joined the UNLV men’s basketball staff in 2008 and currently serves as the senior director of basketball administration and alumni relations.

Hinton was promoted to her current role following the 2016-17 season.

She is responsible for donor relations with the Runnin' Rebels Club, which is a foundation that supports and enhances the men’s basketball program. She also maintains its finances and coordinates events for the organization.

In addition, she manages the Legends Program, which is in place for former men's basketball student-athletes and helps re-connect them with the Runnin' Rebel program.

Hinton also oversees the UNLV men's basketball program's community outreach efforts and emphasizes the importance of being involved in the Las Vegas community through visiting non-profits and reading to elementary school classrooms.

She has also been charged with working closely with the development of the program’s facility upgrades and will continue to maintain the men’s basketball operations budget, assist with game guarantee contracts and social media efforts.

Prior to her current role, Hinton was the team's executive assistant and program coordinator. As such, she was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the men’s basketball office as well as assisting with team meals, team travel, and monitoring unofficial and official visits. She was also responsible for processing scholarship forms and NLIs in addition to assisting with scheduling recruiting travel for all coaches.

A native of Las Vegas, Hinton earned both of her degrees from UNLV - a bachelor’s degree in recreation and sport management in 2010, and a master’s degree in public administration in 2013.

Formerly Christin Downing, she married Sean Hinton in 2015. The couple has a daughter, Maci, who recently turned one.
