UNLV CAREER
Smith enters his second season with the Runnin' Rebel program in 2011-12 ... Transferred to UNLV from Marquette after the fall 2010 semester ... He must sit out the fall 2011 semester as a redshirt because of NCAA transfer rules (he also sat out the spring 2011 semester) ... Will be eligible to play for UNLV as a sophomore following the fall 2011 semester.

FRESHMAN (2010-11) - MARQUETTE
Played as a true freshman in fall 2010 at Marquette ... Appeared in eight of the team's first 10 games, making five starts ... Averaged 1.4 points, 1.5 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.1 steals per game in 9.9 minutes per contest ... Scored five points vs. Longwood and had three rebounds against Prairie View A&M and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

HIGH SCHOOL
A 2010 graduate of Thornton Township High School in Harvey, Ill. ... Earned four letters on varsity and concluded his career with more than 1,300 points, 400 rebounds, 200 assists and 200 steals ... Three-time all-conference honoree (2008, 2009, 2010) and two-time all-state selection (2009, 2010) ... Started 80 of his 83 career games ... Helped his team win a regional title in 2010 under head coach Troy Jackson ... That team was 22-6 overall ... Averaged 18.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.5 steals per game ... Led the team to a third-place finish in the state tournament in 2009 and the team to an overall record of 30-2, falling to the eventual state champion in the tourney semifinals ... Averaged 17.3 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game that season ... That year, the Wildcats won the regional and sectional titles ...
