Abdel Rodriguez, a former player under Coach Ryerson, starts his second season as the team’s official goalkeeper coach. This is his fourth year overall helping with the soccer programs at UNLV, as he volunteered with the team in 2016, while helping with the Rebel women’s squad in 2017.
In addition to his work at UNLV, he also runs his own business that he launched while he was still a player for the Rebels (2013-15). KRONIS, a global company supplying goalkeepers with gloves and other equipment throughout every corner of the world. With his company, he undertakes several roles, as he is an entrepreneur and goalkeeper consultant who through social media provides tips and knowledge regarding the goalkeeper position.
With the focus on goalkeepers, Rodriguez has spent the past seven years developing goalkeepers. In 2016 the KRONIS gk academy was Launched, Currently the KRONIS goalkeeper Academy manages the development of over 400 goalkeepers, with locations in Cleveland and Las Vegas.
Alongside goalkeeper development and goalkeeper equipment, Rodriguez oversees the KRONIS GK camp. The camp is an invite-only camp where 20-25 goalkeepers go through 30 hours of goalkeeping education in six days,
