Emily Vincent joined head coach Kristie Fox's staff as the pitching coach in August of 2018 after spending the 2018 campaign as a volunteer assistant coach for her alma mater, McNeese State.

In her first season as the pitching coach in 2019, the Rebel pitching staff recorded a 2.39 ERA, its lowest team ERA since 2005.

In her second season in 2020, the pitching staff was off to another blistering start when the year came to an abrupt end 26 games in due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. Through five weeks the Rebel pitchers recorded an impressive 1.71 ERA and 13 shutouts, which both ranked 13th in the nation.

Following a pandemic-shortened 2020, UNLV’s pitching crew came back as strong as ever to finish 2021 ranked among the top-3 in the Mountain West in ERA, earned runs allowed, runs allowed, wins, saves, opponent batting average and hits during her third year.

Vincent has mentored Rebel ace Jenny Bressler over the last three seasons, who has tallied 49 wins over her first three collegiate campaigns to already rank seventh in program history. In 2019 Bressler turned in one of the best freshman seasons in program history after she went 23-5 with a 2.10 ERA and 154 strikeouts. Bressler's 23 wins were the most-ever by a freshman and rank seventh all-time in a single-season, while the wins and the strikeouts led the Mountain West. She was named both a Mountain West All-Conference and NFCA All-West Region First Team selection at the conclusion of the 2019 season. Under Vincent's tutelage, Bressler was off to another impressive start in 2020 with an 11-3 mark and team-best 1.27 ERA and 89 strikeouts in 82.2 innings pitched. Bressler earned a second consecutive Mountain West All-Conference nod for the performance. Her third straight Mountain West All-Conference honor came in 2021 after she posted a 15-7 record with a 2.39 ERA, 131 strikeouts,10 complete games and four shutouts in 128.2 innings pitched.

Vincent, a standout for the Cowgirl program, played for McNeese State from 2013-16 and went on to play one season with the Texas Charge professional softball team, becoming the second Cowgirl to play professionally.

While at McNeese, Vincent helped the Cowgirls to three Southland Conference regular season titles, one SLC Tournament title and one NCAA Tournament appearance. Vincent was named to the All-Southland and All-Louisiana teams all four years, SLC all-tournament (2016) and was named team MVP in 2016.

While with the Cowgirls, Vincent posted a 36-13 record with a 2.07 ERA. She also produced a .320 career batting average with 201 hits, 43 doubles, 12 triples, 21 home runs, 14 RBI and 78 walks.

Vincent led the team in victories, innings pitched, ERA, Strikeouts and shutouts during the 2015 and 2016 seasons.

In 2016, Vincent led the conference with a 1.51 ERA and ranked third in strikeouts and third in wins.

A native of Sulphur, Louisiana, Vincent graduated from McNeese State University with her Bachelor's Degree in Health and Human Performance with a concentration in Sports Management in the spring of 2016.
