Michaela Kelsey joined head coach Chris Shaw's staff in August of 2018 after spending the previous five seasons as a player for UNLV women's soccer. She replaced Kaley Shlaes, who was Shaw's second assistant for the 2016 and 2017 seasons.
Kelsey came to Las Vegas from El Dorado, California, as a freshman in 2013 and went on to make 29 starts in 46 games played during her career, which included a redshirt season in 2016.Â
Kelsey graduate from UNLV in the spring of 2018 and will pursue her master's degree while serving as an assistant coach with Shaw and associate head coach J.J. Wozniak.Â
