Heather Farmer

Heather Farmer, MS, CSCS

Heather Farmer has been a member of the UNLV athletics staff since 2016, where she first served as the Assistant Director of Strength and Conditioning before being elevated to Director of Sport Science in 2021 and then promoted to Assistant Athletics Director for Sports Science in 2024.

In her current role, she leads the integration of sports science into the department’s high-performance model. Her role uses scientific principles to support student-athlete development, performance, health, and safety through research, innovation, and holistic practices.

Prior to UNLV, Farmer was a Strength and Conditioning coach at Lindenwood University, working with women’s basketball, field hockey, men’s soccer, and football in 2015.

A native of Rockledge, Florida, Farmer earned her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of North Alabama in 2015, where she was also a member of the Women’s Soccer team. She went on to complete her master’s degree in Kinesiology at UNLV in 2021.

She is a Certified Performance and Sport Scientist (CPSS) and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
