The UNLV volleyball team announced Craig III as a new member of their staff in th summer of 2024.

His day-to-day roles involve varying duties of management and administration of the volleyball program, also contributing in several areas to collaborate in various tasks and projects. Craig III is in charge of several logistical needs for the volleyball program as well as being a liaison with internal departments, community outreach programs and external agencies.

Craig III brings in a variety of experience across a variety of roles in the sport, most recently as an assistant coach for East Carolina University. Last season, he helped lead the team to a 21-11 overall record and their first postseason bid in program history. The Pirates competed in the National Invitational Volleyball Championships Tournament, sweeping The Citadel before falling to Georgia Southern. While there, he was the team’s defensive coordinator, recruiting coordinator and the tactical middle/pin coach. Craig III also oversaw all the team’s social media accounts.

Prior to joining the Pirates, Craig III spent eight seasons at Oral Roberts University in different roles, spending three seasons as the program’s Head Coach from 2020 – 2023. Craig III developed and negotiated all games and tournaments for the team during that stretch, as well as designing practice plans for the team throughout the year. He also took a heavy part in the team’s budgeting and fundraising efforts as well as recruiting both on and off campus.

During his professional career, Craig III has been recognized in several areas off the court, being a member of the AVCA Diversity Development Team as well as a AVCA All-Region Committee Member. He’s also received the AVCA Diversity Award. He’s coached a pair of AVCA All-Region honorees, an AVCA All-Midwest First Team member, 10 All-Summit League First Team and 7 All-Freshman Team honorees. 

In his playing days, Craig III was an AVCA All-American and Great Lakes Player of the Year in 2015, representing Lourdes University as he tallied the third-highest kill totals among NAIA student-athletes (407 kills and 4.07 kills per set). Craig III helped lead the team to their first 20-win season in program history, winning the Great Lakes Conference regular season title and reaching the NAIA National Tournament.

A native of Jacksonville, Florida, he was a letterman in basketball, football and swimming at Englewood High School. He graduated from Lourdes University in 2015 with a degree in business administration. He graduated in the spring of 2018 with a Leadership Master of Business Administration degree from ORU.
