Krystal Gomez

Krystal Gomez, MS, LAT, ATC

Krystal Gomez was hired as an associate athletic trainer at UNLV in August 2022 with her primary sport responsibility being women's volleyball. She is responsible for the medical care as well as the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries for the student-athletes. 

Krystal graduated with a bachelor of science in kinesiology, athletic training in 2013 from Long Beach State. While in school she worked with the Long Beach State men's basketball team as well as UCLA football team. 

Following graduation, Krystal completed a one year internship as a certified athletic trainer at the University of Louisville with the women's volleyball and lacrosse teams during the 2014-15 seasons. 

Krystal also earned her master's of science in physical education, sports administration from the University of New Mexico in 2017. While there she worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer with football and the men's and women's tennis teams.    

Prior to joining UNLV, she spent two years with Penn State's men's rugby team from 2017-2019. Before leaving Pennsylvania for Las Vegas, she worked with the head team physician for the MLB team the Pittsburgh Pirates. 

In her free time, she enjoys hiking, biking and kayaking with her fiance and their two dogs.
