Nashville, Tenn. - The UNLV women's tennis team fell to 8th-ranked Vanderbilt 5-4.
The Lady Rebels fell to 3-13 while the Commodores improved to 14-5.
Vanderbilt won four of six singles matches. UNLV's Veronica Goude defeated Julie Ditty 7-6, 6-3 and Marcella Valkenhoff downed Eloise Harper 6-2, 6-1.
UNLV took three of four doubles matches. Susie Kocsis teamed with Valkenhoff to win 8-5 over Callie Creighton and Anne Plessinger at the second position while Britta Gabl and Urska Radanovic won 8-5 over Ditty and Harper at the third spot. The Lady Rebels return home to host Central Florida on Tuesday.
