LAS VEGAS - The 31st-ranked UNLV women's tennis team moved to 2-0 with a 6-3 victory over in-state rival Nevada, Reno at the Fertitta Tennis Complex Saturday.

The Lady Rebels opened the day by not losing a set en route to clinching the match in singles play. UNLV took five of six singles points, losing one match by injury default. The Wolf Pack then took two of three doubles points, one by default.

Winning for UNLV were Susie Kocsis, Veronica Goude, Marianne Bakken, Britta Gabl and Marcella Valkenhoff.

Kocsis then teamed with Valkenhoff to win the No. 1 doubles spot. UNLV will next host Weber State at 10 a.m. Sunday.
