LAS VEGAS - After capturing the team title at the Golf Digest Collegiate Invitational on March 14, the UNLV golf team remained No. 2 in the latest edition of the MasterCard Collegiate Golf Rankings, which were released Wednesday.
UNLV, which won its second tournament in a row and third of the season at the Golf Digest, is behind No. 1 Clemson. Georgia is third, Oklahoma State is fourth and Georgia Tech rounds out the top five.
Individually, UNLV has two players ranked in the top 15 and one more at No. 42. Jeremy Anderson in ranked 12th, Michael Kirk is 15th, while Charley Hoffman is 42nd.
David Gossett of Texas is the top-ranked player in the nation, followed by Bryce Molder of Georgia Tech and Charles Howell of Oklahoma State.
UNLV will be back in action on March 22-23 at the Morris Williams Intercollegiate at The Hills of Lakeway in Austin, Texas.
