LAS VEGAS - UNLV junior Jeremy Anderson has been selected as the Western Athletic Conference's Golf Athlete of the Month for the month of November.

It marks the second time in Anderson's career that he has received the honor as he was also selected in November of 1997.

Anderson, a native of Lake Mary, Fla., won the Savane College All-America Golf Classic in El Paso, Texas, on Nov. 24. At the event, he shot a final-round eight-under-par 63 to win by two strokes in addition to setting numerous tournament records.

The victory marked his second of the season and third of his career. Anderson, who is ranked No. 4 in the latest edition of the MasterCard Collegiate Golf Rankings, finished first at the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate in Birmingham, Ala., in October.

The UNLV golf team will open its spring season at the Waikoloa Intercollegiate in Hawai'i on Feb. 11.
