August 27, 1998

LAS VEGAS - Three UNLV away football games will appear on KFBT TV-33 (Prime Cable Channel 6) this fall, the school's Sports Marketing Department announced Thursday.

The season-opening game at Northwestern on September 5 kicks things off with a special 9:30 a.m. broadcast. The September 26 game at Colorado State is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. and the October 10 clash with Brigham Young will be at 11 a.m. in Las Vegas.

The Northwestern and CSU games will be produced by the UNLV Sports Network while the BYU game will originate from the Blue & White Network. Gold 33 also will rebroadcast the first two games on Sunday at 1:00 a.m. PDT.

The television announcing team will be made up of play-by-play voice Ken Korach and game analyst and former UNLV quarterback Steve Stallworth. Also, local radio personality Julie Range will join the Rebel family this year as the sideline reporter.

On radio, all 11 UNLV football games can once again be heard on KXNT 840-AM. Play-by-play voice Tony Cordasco will be joined in the booth by former Rebel great and Arena League superstar Hunkie Cooper, who will add game analysis for the first time this fall.
