LAS VEGAS - Sunset Station will be the new site of the UNLV football coach's radio show, the school announced Tuesday.
"The John Robinson Radio Show" will originate from the entrance of the Sunset Brewing Company at the property located on Sunset Road in Henderson.
"Sunset Station is proud to be an active participant with the UNLV football program," Don Marrandino, general manager of Sunset Station said. "We look forward to hosting 'The John Robinson Radio Show' with coach and his guests in Las Vegas' 'Best Brewery.' We hope to have a great relationship with the Rebels and Coach Robinson as they kick off a new era of UNLV Football."
The show will air each Monday during the season on the school's new radio flagship station, ESPN AM 920. Rebel football play-by-play voice Tony Cordasco will join Robinson for an hour of football news, interviews, highlights and features.
"I am looking forward to Tony Cordasco and I putting on a show that is both entertaining and interesting," Robinson said. "The show will not just cover Rebel football but also be a review of the entire world of football each Monday. We will also have some nationally known guests calling in to discuss a wide variety of subjects."
The show, which begins August 30, will begin immediately after Monday Night Football each week (airing from approximately 9-10 p.m.)
"I can't think of a better place to do the show than Sunset Station," Robinson said. "We continue to receive great cooperation from the folks at Stations in our drive to build a top-25 football program at UNLV."
