Women's Tennis Cruises To Win

LAS VEGAS - The 58th-ranked UNLV women's tennis team lost only one set in singles play en route to an 8-1 victory over unranked Weber State at the Fertitta Tennis Complex Saturday.

The Lady Rebels improved to 2-0 while the Wildcats fell to 1-1.

Winning in singles for UNLV was Katarina Malec, Veronica Goude, Marianne Bakken, Britta Gabl, Michaela Gabl and Amy Hadziosmanovic.

UNLV took the first two doubles matches before WSU won its only point of the day at the third spot. Malec and Bakken paired up to win as did Goude and Radonovic.

The Lady Rebels will finish out a three-match homestand vs. Northern Arizona Sunday at 10 a.m.
