LAS VEGAS (AP) - Jason Thomas rushed for two touchdowns and passed for two more as the Rebels beat in-state rival Nevada 38-7 on Saturday night.

It was the second straight win for the Rebels (3-2) and first win over the Wolf Pack (1-4) since 1994.

Sophomore quarterback Thomas was 8-of-12 passing with 152 yards and also rushed 15 times for 88 yards. The Rebels' Kevin Brown rushed for 104 yards on 16 carries and Jeremi Rudolph added 103 yards on 13 attempts. Nate Turner had two touchdown catches.

The Rebels amassed 473 total yards, including 321 on the ground.

Nevada quarterback David Neill was only 9 of 29 for 119 yards and one touchdown. He also led the Wolf Pack in rushing with 58 yards on 10 carries.

The Rebels led 14-7 until late in the second quarter when Thomas dove in from the 1-yard line with one second remaining. UNLV started the second half with an 8-play, 67-yard drive capped by another Thomas 1-yard scoring run to go up 28-21.

Ray Cheetany added a 30-yard field goal in the third quarter to put the Rebels up 31-7. Midway through the fourth quarter, Thomas hit Nate Turner from 19-yards out to put the Rebels up by 31.
