RENO, Nev. - Senior Ayanna Hutchinson (Barataria, Trinidad) and sophomore Michele Davis (Lansing, MI/Sexton) both recorded NCAA provisional qualifying times in their respective events to lead the UNLV women's track and field team, competing at the Wolf Pack Invitational Saturday.

Hutchinson, who clocked a provisional qualifying time in the 60 meters last week, won the 55-meter dash this week, clocking a 6.80 in the finals.

Davis, who qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships last year, won both the 200 and 400 meter races. Her time of 24.00 in the 200 qualifies her for the indoor meet. She missed the qualifying mark in the 400 by 0.3 seconds.

Stephanie Davidson (Renton, WA/Hazen) added a fourth UNLV victory, leading a 1-2-4 finish by the Rebels in the mile. Jenni Nelson (Renton, WA/Hazen) followed Davidson in second place, and Kathryn Goetz (Denver, CO/South) took fourth.

The Rebels got solid performances from the field events crew. Senior Jessica Marable (Carson City, NV) finished fourth in the shot put while newcomers Emily McCarter (Las Vegas, NV/Cimarron-Memorial) and Tianika Sharrieff (Euless, TX/LD Bell) tied for fourth in the high jump.

UNLV has just one meet left to prepare for the Mountain West Conference Championships. The Rebels head to Indianapolis, IN on Friday, Feb. 11 to compete in the Cannon V Classic and will then have two weeks to train for the conference meet in late February.
