LAS VEGAS - The UNLV men's tennis team could only manage one win en route to falling to 27th-ranked San Diego State, 6-1, in a battle of Mountain West Conference schools at the Fertitta Tennis Complex Sunday.
The Rebels fell to 6-11 overall and suffered their first loss at home in five matches this pring and first league defeat in three outings.
The Aztecs began the day by sweeping three doubles matches for one team point. SDSU players also rallied to prevail in both three-set matches. The only Rebel to score was Danny Erez, who downed Valentino Pest, 6-1, 6-3, at the third spot.
UNLV next hosts MWC rival and 56th-ranked BYU Friday at 1:30 p.m.
