Rounding out the scoring for UNLV on Saturday were freshmen Robert Sul (76-75-71-72--294) and Calvin Kupeyan (71-74-70-73--288). Sul finished tied for 65th while Kupeyan tied for 41st place.
Oklahoma State's Charles Howell (67-66-63-69--265) had the individual title well in hand when he walked to the 18th green, but parred the hole to force a playoff with Georgia Tech. OSU (281-276-275-284--1,116) won the one-hole playoff and captured its ninth national championship.
Both Anderson and Kirk earn All-America honors by virtue of their top-10 finish.
