Storyline: The UNLV track and field team looks to retain its place among the elite in the conference at the Mountain West Conference Indoor Championships this weekend at the Cadet Field House on the campus of the U.S. Air Force Academy. Competition begins on Thursday, Feb. 22, with the pentathlon and continues through Friday, Feb. 23 and Saturday, Feb. 24. The meet serves as the final chance to achieve NCAA qualifying marks.

Results: Results will be available following each day's competition and posted on the world wide web at www.unlvrebels.com. Results should be available by 6:00 p.m. PST each day.

UNLV: The Rebels have had two weeks of rest since their third-place effort at the Bill Cosby Invitational in Reno. Michele Davis won both the 200 and the 400, improving her provisional qualifying times. She has been defeated only once this season and has not lost in the 200. Tianika Sharrieff, also an NCAA provisional qualifier, won the high jump, and Katie Barto captured the 3,000 meters.

Injury update: While Michele Davis will return to the lineup this week to compete, UNLV could be without two other key contributors. Sophomore Chantel Yates is suffering from a sore foot and is out, and freshman Tiarra Jones is doubtful with the flu.

Next: The NCAA Championships are set for March 9-10 in Fayetteville, Ark.
