LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) - UNLV track & field's Grace Cunningham has been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team for the second consecutive season, the organization announced on Tuesday. Cunningham is a finalist who is a part of the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Academic All-District honorees advance to the Academic All-America ballot, which first-, second and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced July 15.

The Academic All-District team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. In addition to their athletic accomplishments, nominees must carry a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average and have at least sophomore athletic and academic standing. Athletically, honorees were eligible if they had at least one individual event ranked in the top 50 performances in TFRRS' performance list at the time of the nomination during either the indoor or outdoor season. 

The Las Vegas native posted a 3.80 GPA where she earned a master's of business administration in psychology with a minor in marketing. Additionally, the senior has been named to the Dean's Honor List all four semesters at UNLV. 

Cunningham earned All-Mountain West Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field honors in the high jump where she finished third at both the Indoor (1.74m, 5' 8.5") and Outdoor (1.70m, 5' 7") championships. The senior also qualified for the NCAA West Regional Outdoor Championships with a mark of 1.79m (5' 10.5") during the Arizona Desert Heat Classic, good enough to be tied for 45th in the nation and tied for 29th in the West.
