LAS VEGAS - The 63rd-ranked UNLV women's tennis team took five of six singles matches to rally past New Mexico State 5-2 at the Fertitta Tennis Complex Sunday.
The Lady Rebels evened their record at 2-2 while the Aggies fell to 1-1.
NMSU grabbed the lead by taking two of three doubles matches for one team point. UNLV rebounded in singles play, however. Winning for the Lady Rebels were Pauline Janus, Marianne Bakken, Urska Radanovic, Amy Hadziosmanovic and Britta Gabl.
The Aggies' lone singles win came at the second spot where Stella Veerman upset 39th-ranked Agnieszka Abram, 7-5, 7-5.
UNLV returns to action Friday when its hosts Florida International beginning at 2 p.m.
