LAS VEGAS - After winning the long jump yesterday, Tiffany Smith led a 1-2 finish in the triple jump, highlighting the Rebels' performances during the final day of competition at the UNLV Open on Saturday at Myron Partidge Track/Sheila Tarr Smith Field.

Smith jumped 12.13 to capture first and edged teammate Belisa Suarez (11.88) who finished second.

UNLV's Charlotte Covington captured the pole vault title by clearing 3-15.

This was UNLV's first outdoor competition of this season and next up for the Rebels is the Stanford Invitational on March 31 and April 1 in Palo Alto, Calif.
