Rams Rushed By Lady Rebels

FORT COLLINS, Colo. - The 62nd-ranked UNLV women's tennis team evened its Mountain West Conference record at 2-2 by downing 75th-ranked Colorado State, 4-3, at the Varsity Courts Saturday.

The Lady Rebels, who earned their second win over a ranked opponent this spring, improved to 6-10 overall while the Rams fell to 10-9.

UNLV began the day by taking two of three doubles matches for one team point. The squads then split six singles matches. Paulina Janus, currently ranked 87th, won at the top spot, 6-1, 6-2, and Agnieszka Abram held on for a three-set victory at the second position.

The match was tied at three when Amy Hadziosmanovic outlasted Bobbe Vasos on the sixth court, 7-5, 2-6, 6-3 to give UNLV the victory.

The Lady Rebels continue conference play by playing Wyoming Sunday in Fort Collins.
