UNLV junior quarterback Jason Thomas has been listed as the fourth best player in college football for this coming season by one expert.
ESPN's Mel Kiper, famous for his NFL Draft information, ranks Thomas No. 4 among his top 30 college players for 2001. Thomas, who threw for 14 touchdowns and ran for 11 in his first season on the field last year, ranked only behind players from Texas, Tennessee and Virginia Tech in a story currently appearing on ESPN.com.
Kiper described Thomas as the best player at his position: "A left-handed version of (Minnesota Vikings quarterback) Daunte Culpepper - size, arm strength and mobility. The best QB in college football."
