TEMPE, Ariz. - Three UNLV women's tennis players will compete in this weekend's Arizona State Thunderbirds Invitational at the Whiteman Tennis Center, which kicks off Friday.

Players from host ASU, Duke, Texas Tech, California, Kansas State, San Diego and Northern Arizona are also in the talented field.

Lady Rebel sophomore Gyorgyi Zsiros, ranked 76th, is seeded sixth and will take on Catherine Heppell of San Diego in the first round. Senior Paulina Janus, ranked 79th and seeded seventh, will face Joslynn Burkett of ASU while junior Agnieszka Abram will play Jessica Simosa of Kansas State. UNLV will field only one doubles entry as Janus and Abram will face Heppell and Tara Livesay of USD.

Two rounds of singles will be played Friday with quarterfinals and semifinals set for Saturday and finals on Sunday.
