SUNRIVER, Ore. - The UNLV men's golf team retained its lead at the Mountain West Conference Championship, firing a one-over par 289 for the second round at Sunriver Resort's Crosswater Course. The Rebels lead both New Mexico and Air Force by two strokes and BYU by three.
The Rebs' strong team play today was a results of a complete team effort as four of the team's lineup sit in the top 10.
Leading that group was senior Clark Corbett, who kept pace with the San Diego State's Mark Warman in the individual race. Both players carded even par, and Corbett still sits three strokes out of the lead.
Freshman J.C. Deacon turned in his second straight par round and sits tied for sixth, one shot behind Corbett.
Tied for eighth place at one-over par are Brandon Askew and Ryan Moore while Brien Davis finished with a 74 on Tuesday and sits tied for 23rd at five over.
Wednesday's final round will begin at 9:00 a.m. PDT.
