LAS VEGAS - UNLV's Tracie Chong earned two strong victories to advance to Sunday's consolation final at the 2003 Women's Collegiate Tennis Kickoff Classic at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.

Chong first cruised past Boglarka Berecz of Florida 6-3, 6-0 and then upset 123rd-ranked Lori Grey of Georgia 6-3, 6-4 to improve her record to 3-1 in this event and 9-4 for the season. Chong, a sophomore out of Honolulu, will face Crystal Cleveland of Tennessee at 10 a.m. Sunday.

The only other Lady Rebel to compete Saturday was junior Agnieszka Abram, who fell in the consolation quarterfinals to Cleveland 6-3, 6-2.

In the main draw, the nation's No. 1-ranked player, Agata Cioroch of Georgia, was upset in the semifinals by 17th-ranked Amber Liu of Stanford. Liu will take on fourth-ranked Vilmarie Castellvi of Tennessee in Sunday's championship match, which is scheduled to begin at noon. The tournament is free and open to the public.
