SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The UNLV softball team's tournament finale matchup with Morehead State was cancelled on Sunday due to severe rain in the Sacramento area and will not be made up.

Rain began to fall late Saturday evening and continued throughout the night, leaving the fields at the Sacramento Softball Complex in unplayable condition.

The Rebels conclude the Capital Classic with a 1-4 record and will return to Las Vegas tonight. They will enjoy four days of rest before opening conference play at home on Friday, March 28, against Colorado State at 1:00 p.m. at Eller Media Stadium.
